Welcome to wedding season! I had the pleasure of shooting a wedding at Olde Dobbin Station this past weekend. What do you mean you’ve never heard of it? Well, I hadn’t either, and boy was I surprised at how amazingly beautiful and charming it is. It is a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. Check out the beautiful wedding photography on their site, too. Anyway, we got so lucky with the weather. It didn’t start raining until after the ceremony and all the guests were tucked safely into the reception hall. Here’s just a little preview of one of my favorite couple’s most beautiful wedding.
P.S. Please feel free to ignore the disgustingly corny soliloquy I wrote for your bridal portrait preview. I once had an English professor in college tell me my paper was “overly sentimentalized.” Perhaps she thought I was faking it. Clearly, I am still the same mushy sap.
I always love to see the comparison to the bride and groom getting ready. Our bride was hidden in the bridal suite with lots of girls and makeup and hair accessories everywhere. Meanwhile, the groom was standing outside waiting and chatting with some dudes. Can you see a little bit of his fancy watch? That was a gift from his sweetheart.
I think this is my favorite shot from the whole thing. I adore it.
This has become my trademark wedding shot. After the kiss and announcement of man and wife, I’m always waiting for them at the end of the aisle, and I ask them to kiss once more. It’s always my favorite moment.
Oh, Mr. and Mrs. B, I’m so happy for you! Congratulations on your lovely wedding. I wish you a lifetime of happiness.
Love, Andrea
